Extraction in power plants

Compliance with cleanliness and order in power plants reduces the risk of fire.  Especially in:

  • Installation and assembly work
  • Maintenance and repair work

The workplaces should always be cleared up and cleaned promptly. Regular cleaning and removal of fire loads should be the rule. In order to avoid fire and explosion hazards, regular cleaning work must be carried out in areas where contamination occurs due to deposits of dry combustible dusts. Cleaning work must also be carried out immediately if the thickness of the dust layer is > 1 mm. If possible, EX-protected mobile or stationary vacuum cleaner systems should be used for the cleaning work.
