Effective extraction of Fine Dust - protection for people and the environment
Fine Dust is an invisible hazard in many working environments. They can penetrate deep into the lungs and cause serious health problems. Depending on the particle size and composition, they can be toxic, allergenic or even carcinogenic. High-performance and specially adapted extraction technology is therefore essential to provide the best possible protection for employees and the environment.
Dust classes and their meaning
- Dust class M – Dusts in this category are considered “medium” hazardous. They require a high filter performance as they can affect the respiratory tract and health.
Concerns dusts with an OEL (occupational exposure limit value) > 0.1 mg/m³.
The maximum permeability of the suction cup may be 0.1 %.
Examples: Wood dust, paint particles, paint mist, metal dust.
Dust class H – Dusts in this category are considered “highly” hazardous and place the highest demands on filter technology.
Concerns dusts with an OEL < 0.1 mg/m³.
The maximum permeability of the suction cup may be 0.005 %.
Contains particularly hazardous substances such as carcinogenic dusts, dusts with germs/bacteria or asbestos*.
(*Separate safety measures are required for asbestos in accordance with TRGS 519).
